The start of a new year turns your mind to all the things that can be achieved with a little
 
effort. The weekly challenge can hopefully be given each month in advance so that the
 
slower writers do not feel under pressure and hopefully members of other groups will get
 
the chance to try our challenge.
 
Stories should  ideally contain between 600 and 1,500 words and prose/poetry not more
 
than 20 verses but these are only guidelines.
