The West Cork Writers Group was initially formed in September 1966 by a small group of unarmed rebels whose names are now mercifully lost to history.
We meet most friday evenings at 7.40pm in the back room of West Cork Arts Centre across the road from the Skibbereen Library (excellent parking!) and are always happy to welcome new writers whatever their background or degree of skill.
To get an idea of how we operate, our Rules of Engagement as it were, click on "The Challenge" button and see if you could rise to it yourself!
If you feel you would like to try out one of our meetings then please contact us at info@westcorkwriters.com and we will tell you when we will be holding the next one.
If, however, you do not live within practical range of Skibbereen, but might be interested in becoming a solely online member, either as an "Irregular" or, if based outside this land of saints and scholars, as a "Blow In", then click here.
Always remember that this website needs its Readers every bit as much as it needs its Writers, so it would be much appreciated if you could visit our Guest Book and leave a little comment. Cheers!
